Kathy Woods…. On Monday evening while strolling down Main Street in downtown Vista, we heard singing coming from the AVO Playhouse. Inside we found a tech and sound rehearsal in progress. We spoke to the Backstage Manager, Renee Berg, during the rehearsal. She said, “We have been putting on youth, adult and mixed productions for 4 years using an amazing amount of local talent.
There are a total of 50 plus cast members in this show and a lot of the cast members are actual families.
The Cratchit’s are a family, my husband is playing Scrooge in one of the dreams from the Spirit Past and both of my daughters are in the show as well, and a lot of the other cast members are performing with their own children, which makes it extremely special. We recommend that you bring your whole family to see this wonderful play.”
