This September will mark the beginning of the 9th Annual Rising Star of the Month Program at the Vista Chamber. Each month, we honor and recognize outstanding high school seniors, these are the students who demonstrate integrity, love of learning, involvement in school and community activities and/or the ability to overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education.

All of the recognized students are then given the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to help them continue their education that is then awarded at the Rising Star Scholarship Breakfast in May. Last May, and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, all 20 students that applied were awarded for a total of $14,000 in scholarships.

We couldn’t do any of this without the generosity of our sponsors. Our sponsors of the Rising Star of the Month Program have the opportunity to attend the monthly breakfasts and hear the students’ inspirational stories, an opportunity not open to the general public. This is also a great opportunity to keep your name in front of a lot of well deserving students & families.
