Jenessa French Named Health Care Hero by the Vista Chamber of Commerce & Vista Education Foundation
Jenessa French, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, was awarded Healthcare Hero of the Year at the Vista Chamber of Commerce and the Vista Education Foundation’s 11th Annual Heroes of Vista Gala. The Gala, held at the Vistonian in Vista, celebrated excellence in education, business and public safety.

Jenessa was chosen for her dedication to improving the health and wellness of our community. She works diligently to ensure safety and care for our patients and our staff. Jenessa is available day or night for Tri-City Medical Center and is always willing to help anyone in need.

Over the past 18 years that Jenessa has been at Tri-City, she has exhibited the core values of our organization and has been an outstanding member of our team. Congratulations to Jenessa! We are so lucky to have her as a member of the Tri-City family.

Donate Life Month Tri-City Medical Center Promotes Organ Donation
It’s easy to remember that there are 30 days in April, National Donate Life Month, when reciting the nursery rhyme “Thirty days hath September, April, June and November…” On each of those 30 days, 150 people are added to the nation’s organ transplant waiting list, one every 10 minutes, according to Donate Life California.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we are recognizing our very own Chief Nursing Executive, Candice Parras. Candice has played an integral role as a leader atTri-City Medical Center. Her 51 years of nursing experience has been imperative to the success of our nursing staff. She has been a key leader through the pandemic and inspires us all with her resiliency in the face of adversity and passion for the profession of nursing.

Super STEM Saturday
Tri-City Medical Center was proud to return as a sponsor of CSUSM’s Super STEM Saturday. We hosted a booth featuring multiple engaging activities related to the human heart and laboratory science led by cardiologist Dr. Aaron Yung, lab manager Tara Eagle and other TCMC leaders.
Older & Bolder Expo
Tri-City Medical Center sponsored the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s Older & Bolder Expo! Dr. Reyzan Shali from Tri-City Primary Care lectured on the importance of cancer screenings, and Dr. Laura Desadier with our Cardiovascular Health Institute (CVHI) presented on Stroke Treatment and Prevention. 
Rising Star Program
The Oceanside Chamber’s Rising Star program champions students who have overcome significant challenges in their life, but have managed to keep, or get back on track, with their education. The Chamber honors one high school senior each month from each of our area high schools at a breakfast event and has scholarship opportunities for participants at the end of the school year.
