Michelle D. Gonzalez, TrueCare’s President/CEO, Recognized for Two San Diego Business Leadership Awards. North San Diego Business Chamber and San Diego Business Journal honor Gonzalez as finalist for CEO and Leadership Awards
San Marcos, CA, June, 2021 — Two prominent local business organizations, the North San Diego Business Chamber and the San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ), have named Michelle D. Gonzalez, TrueCare’s president and CEO, as a finalist in their upcoming high-profile leadership awards.
The North San Diego Business Chamber has chosen Gonzalez as a finalist for its Leadership Awards, which honors individuals and businesses who have positively impacted another individual, business, or their community. Gonzalez has also been chosen as a CEO finalist for the SDBJ 2021 CEO of the Year, which recognizes local industry leaders’ great achievements within their companies and in the community.
Just as COVID-19 was spreading relentlessly throughout California, Gonzalez was appointed in April 2020 as President and CEO of TrueCare™, a nonprofit health care provider for the underserved in North San Diego and South Riverside Counties.
As a leader on the front lines, her nearly 20-year career in the TrueCare organization served her well, as she took the reins and navigated every aspect of this changing healthcare crisis while expanding services to help care for the underserved during a critical time.
Gonzalez remains focused on TrueCare’s mission to make quality, affordable, and accessible care available to everyone in the community and combat inequities that exist not only in healthcare, but in other critical areas of life.
