TR Robertson -Everyone has certain foods they like and for many people some of the combinations of some of these foods can seem a little unusual. It is hard to say why individuals decided to begin to eat some of these combinations. It could have started as a dare, as an experiment, or simply because they like both items individually and wanted to know what it would taste like to put them together. For example, I enjoy, every now and then, a peanut butter and Miracle Whip sandwich. It must be Miracle Whip, not Mayonnaise. Nothing against peanut butter and jelly, which I also enjoy, but the flavors of peanut butter and Miracle Whip taste good to me. I don’t exactly know when I first tried this, but whenever it was, I must have thought, “This is not so bad, I might have it again sometime.” I also like to eat popcorn and M&M’s together at the movies. The chocolate with the salty, buttery popcorn also tastes good to me. If you Google Weird Food Combinations, you will be amazed at the list. We just had some friends over and the cocktail sauce over cream cheese with shrimp or crab meat mixed in along with Gouda Triscuits was a popular hors d’oeuvres. Try it sometime.
