The documentary, shown free of charge this Sunday, “USS Indianapolis: the Legacy”, will focus on the importance of the USS Indianapolis in the War of the Pacific, the secret mission involving the Atomic Bomb., the ships destruction and the controversy surrounding one of the worst tragedies of the war – the mystery surrounding the delayed rescue attempts of the survivors of the sinking of the ship. The 93 minute documentary will feature never before seen film footage and photographs from World War II and the Battle of the Pacific as well as interviews with many of the survivors from what is now known as the greatest single loss of life at sea in the history of the U.S. Navy. ussindianoplois
