Driver killed in crash.
On Friday, September 8 just after 12:30 a.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station responded to a solo collision at the intersection of South Melrose Drive and County Complex in Vista.
A vehicle occupied by a driver struck the traffic control light pole at the above intersection. Deputies and the Vista Fire Department arrived at the same time and rendered aid to the driver, who appeared to be in medical distress. He was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team is handling the collision investigation. If anyone has any information about this incident, please call the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200.

Conductor muerto en accidente.
El Viernes 8 de Septiembre, poco después de las 12:30 a.m., los oficiales del Vista Sheriff’s Station respondieron a una colisión en solitario en la intersección de South Melrose Drive y County Complex en Vista.
Un vehículo ocupado por un conductor chocó contra el poste de control de tráfico en la intersección mencionada anteriormente. Los oficiales y el Departamento de Bomberos de Vista llegaron al mismo tiempo y brindaron ayuda al conductor, quien parecía estar en problemas médicos. Fue trasladado al hospital, donde murió a causa de sus heridas.
