City of Vista Restaurant Fee Waiver Program -The City of Vista is excited to announce a restaurant fee waiver program that reduces start-up costs associated with city permits. Permit fee waivers are available to reduce the costs of building and planning permit fees associated with the opening of a new dine-in or quick service restaurant. Restaurants that generate the majority of their revenue from the sale of dine-in food and non-alcoholic beverages are eligible to apply. The maximum amount of the fee waiver is $5,000.00 and waivers will not exceed the cost of permit fees. The waiver is available for permit applications submitted on or after January 1, 2023. One-Time $4,000 Grant Program for Low-Income Families Hurt By COVID-19 -The Recovery Action Fund for Tomorrow will provide one-time cash distributions in the amount of $4,000 to families with children under 18 years of age and seniors, prioritizing those at risk of homelessness. This fund addresses the growing need for flexible funds, will connect recipients to resources that help them maximize the receipt of these funds, and will support them in planning for their future. The program will serve San Diego County, prioritizing the 39 Health Equity Zip Codes, and will focus on households earning 200% or less of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Find more information here.
City of Vista Scholarship Program -The main purpose of this scholarship program is to enable youth (under 25 years of age) living in the City of Vista to participate in positive activities by providing funds to help offset the cost of such activities for those that cannot afford it.
