Vista Art Foundation & Backfence Society Announce Student Art Show Winners

Vista, CA – Winners of the 2022 Alley Art Festival Student Art Show have been selected. The show, which was held on June 11 at the Alley Art Festival at Green Oak Ranch, featured outstanding artworks from local students of all ages. Winners were selected by “people’s choice” voting.

Katie O. from San Marcos High School won first place and $300 for her ceramic steampunk dog, titled “Buck Winston Churchill II.”

Second place and $150 was taken by Thomas Y., also from San Marcos High School, for “American Astronaut.”

Amelia E., from Casita Elementary, won third place and $50 for “Dragon Extravaganza.”

Honorable Mention went to Madeline K., San Marcos High, for “Porcelain.”

The Alley Art Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Vista Art Foundation and the Backfence Society, who collaboratively seek positive community engagement through artistic expression. For more information see, https://www.backfencesociety.com and https://www.artinvista.org.
