Last month we got to hear from two great guests that are helping our community in their own ways.

Aaron Byzak is the Chief External Affairs Officer for Tri-City Medical Center. In his role he oversees the marketing, communications, government affairs, community relations, and patient transportation for the District and the Medical Center.

Rochelle owns Babies in Bloom in downtown Vista, a baby boutique which offers carefully curated products and everything growing families need to feel confident, supported and ready for the most miraculous time of their lives.

Matt Koumaras is the CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Vista which ensures great futures for the youth of Vista! The Club has grown to multiple sites and serves over 800 hundred kids aged 5-18 each year.

North County cities have launched a new program to boost employment opportunities for the region. This pilot program is designed to connect entry-level, excluded, and/or vulnerable workers with basic skills training and connections to key North County employers who are hiring for office administration, manufacturing, hospitality & food service jobs. Monthly Amber Grant $10,000 winner each month Each month, our judges review all the applications – then select 5 finalists. One of those finalists will be the monthly $10,000 Amber Grant grant winner. The other 4 finalists will each receive $1,000. The $10,000 Amber Grant winner each month qualifies for the year-end grant of $25,000.

County of San Diego Micro Business Grant Program – Next Steps for Funding

December 1 – 2nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
TERI hosts its 2nd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at the Campus of Life in San Marcos. During Thursday Happy Hour at the TERI Common Grounds Café & Coffee Bar, we will turn on all our holiday lights and enjoy the company of a special guest from the North Pole. Learn More
December 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 – Vista Farmers Market
The longest running farmers market in the county (since 1981) open in all weather EVERY Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
December 7 – Craft Fair @ the Gloria McClellan Senior Center

December 10 – Semper Fitmas Santa & Elf Run

December 18 – Christmas Concert at UMC Vista
Music Ministry’s Annual Christmas Concert: Join us on Sunday December 18, at 4 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The Chancel Choir, Anderson Handbells, Chamber Orchestra and Praise Band will combine to offer a varied and wonderful selection of music for the Christmas Season. Director’s Conversation will be at 3:15 p.m. There is no charge and a free-will offering will be taken in support of the Music Ministry. Learn More
