Vista Downtown Winterfest begins Friday Dec 4th at 5:00 PM and continues until 8:00 PM featuring horse-drawn carriage rides and caroling, arts and craft vendors and the annual Christmas Tree lighting on Friday, Dec. 4th 6:15 PM at the Cinepolis Theatre. Carolers can be enjoyed in front of the AVO Playhouse, and other selected venues.
There will be Arts and Craft vendors along the Krikorian Main Street for holiday gift shopping. Enjoy dinner along with the caroling music in the background. After your downtown dinner, stop by Cold Stone Creamery, Little Cakes Cupcakes or even Rocket Fizz Candy and treat yourself to something special. If you have time enjoy a carriage ride along Main Street.
The Vista Chamber of Commerce is planning the Annual Christmas parade, scheduled for Saturday December 5th. This year’s theme is a Dr. Seuss “Seussical Christmas”. Because of the Streetscape construction on South Santa Fe, this year’s route will start at the Civic Center then down Eucalyptus. Starting at 1:00 PM, the parade route winds its way from in front of Civic Center, through Historic downtown Main Street, crossing South Santa Fe and continuing on to the Wave Waterpark.
Remember the fun starts Friday evening and continues with the Parade on Saturday. There will be pictures with Santa and comic book characters, Christmas and craft vendors and more.
Flagstone Replaced at the Downtown Gazebo –

The Public Works crews used surplus pavers left over from work on E. Broadway to replace the flagstone, creating a smoother, more attractive walking surface which ties into the two downtown areas.
