Traffic Calming Workshop for Residents in District 1

The City of Vista is holding a public workshop to discuss traffic safety issues and priorities for improvements in District 1 on Thursday, August 3, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Morris Vance Community Room at the Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive. For more information, please send us an email. Public input is crucial to the City of Vista as it seeks to address traffic safety issues and determine priority areas for traffic improvements, ensuring community needs and concerns are effectively addressed.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility Open Saturdays

The City’s household waste facility is open Saturdays 9 am-3 pm and welcomes Vista residents to drop off the following items:

  • Old or broken electronics
  • Paint or oil cans
  • Used batteries
  • Other toxic products

The facility is located at 1145 E. Taylor Street, across the street from the City’s Public Works Yard. There are no fees for Vista residents. GET MORE DETAILS

Snap, Report, & Submit Using the Access Vista App

Fall Youth Sports Registration

The City of Vista invites you to register your child for Flag Football and Girls Volleyball. Our fall youth sports season promises an experience like no other, where little champions can unleash their potential and discover the joy of competing and learning as part of a team.

Thibodo Park Improvements

The City’s contractor will construct new walls and perform concrete work starting this Wednesday at Thibodo Park. Most work will occur around the basketball courts and the parking lot. The basketball courts will be closed while the work is being performed, estimated to take one week.

“Tarzan The Musical” Swings into The Moonlight

The Moonlight has opened “Tarzan The Musical,” the third show of its 2023 summer season. The San Diego Union-Tribune writes of the show, “Moonlight Stage Productions’ “Tarzan” dazzles with ambitious aerial stunt flying in many scenes, a huge 37-member cast, dazzling water and forest projections, large dance scenes and excellent casting.” See it live on stage through August 5.
