Play Ball! Let’s Go Friar Faithful Spring is right around the corner, and with that the red-hot Padres make their return! Get in the baseball spirit with a behind the scenes tour of beautiful Petco Park. Learn about the history of the Padres, while we gander through the private luxury suites, press box, and a walk along the outfield warning track! Lunch will be included as we dine at Bub’s at the Ballpark located in the Gaslamp district. Please note: This trip involves strenuous walking conditions. Spring Launch Party
The aroma of Spring is in the air, and with that comes new adventures for our Culture Caravan travelers! Join us as we unveil our collection of trips we have put together for the Spring season. Attendees of the party will also have the opportunity to be the first to sign up for any trips that peak their interest. AFC vacations will also be joining us to present vacation trips they have in store. Free Tax Preparation Services from AARP
AARP will be offering free tax preparation assistance from February 1 through April 17. This service will take place in the Azalea Building on Mondays and Wednesdays – by appointment. Appointment times are scheduled at 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm. Call 760-643-5290 to schedule an appointment. If you reach their voice mail, leave a message with your name and phone number. Please note: AARP volunteers schedule the appointments for this service. Senior Center Staff members are not able to schedule appointments for AARP’s tax preparation services.
San Diego Food Bank
The San Diego Food Bank operates a Senior Citizen food distribution site in the upper parking lot on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11am-12pm. On that day there will be limited parking available in the upper parking lot. For more info on their program: SanDiegoFoodBank.org.
Our OUT AND ABOUT program provides ADA transportation for medical appointments on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 9am-3pm.
