Storm Information

The City of Vista is continually monitoring the weather situation, and our emergency response teams (City, public works, and public safety) are prepared.

A Tropical Storm Watch has now been issued for much of Southern California.

Sandbags

Ten unfilled sandbags per household will be available to Vista residents at the City’s Public Works Yard on Saturday, August 19, between 9 am and noon. Proof of residency is required. Residents can purchase fill materials at local home centers and building supply stores. There is no charge for the sandbags. Unfilled sandbags are also available during regular business hours: Monday – Thursday: 6:30 am – 4:00 pm; every other Friday: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm.
