San Marcos Hike

Walnut Grove/Twin Oaks Valley Region Hike Easy to Moderate: Experience the wonder and beauty of this historic region of San Marcos as we hike 6.5 miles of trails around Walnut Grove Park and The Purple Heart Memorial. We will also take in views along Twin Oaks Valley, La Cienega, Mulberry, and Cox Roads.
Saturday, November 4 • Sign-in starts at 8:30 a.m. with hike beginning at 9 a.m. • Free Walnut Grove Park (South parking lot), 1950 Sycamore Dr. San Marcos 92069

Family Night Pick-Up

Pumpkin Pies -Make your own pumpkin pie at home. All baking supplies are included in kits. Parent supervision required.

Family Night activities bring families together. Crafts/activities are intended for children ages three to ten. Each On-The-Go kit contains one craft or activity. Adjust quantity when registering for each child participating. REGISTER HERE

Be a hero to someone and help save up to 3 lives! Schedule your donation time slot by clicking the button below. San Marcos Aquatics

CPR/First Aid/AED

Receive an American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification valid for two years.

Location: Las Posas Park Pool Days: First Saturday of every month Time: 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Fee: $50 per course

Lifeguard Certification Class

This course is an American Red Cross blended learning course – a portion must be completed online prior to the first in-person day of class. A swim competency evaluation must be completed as a pre-requisite including: a 10-pound brick retrieval from a 12-foot depth, a 300-meter swim using free-style or breast stroke with face in or out of water, and a two-minute deep-water tread without use of arms.

Location: Woodland Park Pool –Days: November 11 & 12 – Time: 8 a.m.- 7 p.m. Fee: $220 per course

Aqua Aerobics

Hosted in-house by our certified Water Safety Instructors. Come and enjoy a guided warm-up, motivational cardio workout exercises followed by a cool down and stretch. This is a gentle class geared towards facilitating a healthy, active lifestyle. Beginners welcome, equipment provided.

Location: Las Posas Park Pool Dates: Saturday & Sunday

Time: 7:30-8:15 a.m. | 8:30-9:15 a.m. | 9:30-10:15 a.m. Fee: $6 drop-in fee only

Lap Swim Morning Hours Extended

Location: Las Posas Park Pool Dates: Monday-Thursday Time: 6:30-10:30 a.m. Fee: $4 drop-in fee or included with Splash Pass.

Location: Las Posas Park Pool Dates: Saturday-Sunday Time: 6:30-10:30 a.m. Fee: $4 drop-in fee or included with Splash Pass.

Open Recreation Swim

Open Recreation Swim is for individuals or families to enjoy the pool and swim. Please visit

www.san-marcos.net/watersafety for a list of pool rules. Pool heated to 84°F.

Please note: if the projected high temperature for the day is below 60°F, or there is thunder and lightning, open Rec Swim will be cancelled that day. We will remain open during rain.

Location: Las Posas Pool Dates: Monday-Thursday Time: 4:30-7:30 p.m. Fee: $4 drop-in fee or included with Splash Pass.

Splash Pass Membership

Purchase a Splash Pass membership for year-round access, or pay a drop-in fee for an intense or easy workout. Pool is heated and outdoors. Please bring your own equipment.
