San Marcos Hike

Join us for the Las Posas Park to “P” Mountain hike. This challenging hike will depart from Las Posas Park and then go to the top of “P” Mountain. We will return via the Santa Fe Hills, Trail and then south to Las Posas Park for a total of approximately 5 miles and 840-foot elevation gain. Hike rating is Strenuous.

Saturday, April 1 • Sign-in starts at 8:30 a.m. with hike beginning at 9 a.m. • FREE

Cerro de Las Posas Park, 1387 West Borden Road, San Marcos.

April Pools Day

Come join the San Marcos Aquatic Team for April Pool’s Day! The whole family is invited to join in the activities:

  • • The San Marcos Fire Department will bring a fire engine and be providing CPR demonstrations.
  • • Water Safety Activity Stations: learn how to be safer in and around the water.
  • • Coloring Booth.
  • • Swim Lesson Level Evaluation. (summer lesson enrollment opens April 12 at 9 a.m.).
  • • Kona Ice will be providing treats from 2:30-4 p.m.
  • • Free Open Recreational Swim during the event including the diving board and water slide!
  • • San Marcos Library will have an information booth including summer city programming.

Saturday, April 1 • 12-4 p.m. Woodland Park Pool • 671 Woodland Parkway

Spring Celebration & Volunteer Appreciation

Celebrate all the beauty of spring and our SAC volunteers with a delicious lunch and refreshing dessert. Visit the Senior Center Lunch Desk or call (760) 744-5535 x3607 to make your reservation.

Spring Egg Scramble

Children are invited to this community “scramble” where 20,000 prize-filled eggs will be scattered throughout the park. Guests are encouraged to come early for a free children’s carnival with games, jumpees and activities.

Sun-Catcher – Bring your closed-toed shoes to explore the nature trail at Jack’s Pond and create a sun-catcher to catch some rays of Spring time sunshine.

You bring the creativity, and we’ll bring all the supplies you need! While supplies last.

Family Night Craft Pick-up

Flower Pen Craft a flower pen and plant it in a miniature pot.

Family Night activities bring families together. Crafts/activities are intended for children ages three to ten. Each On-The-Go kit contains one craft or activity. Adjust quantity when registering for each child participating. Register your child here.

Open Recreation Swim

Open Recreation Swim is for individuals or families to enjoy the pool and swim. Please visit www.san-marcos.net/watersafety for a list of pool rules. Pool heated to 84°F.

Please note: if the projected high temperature for the day is below 60°F, or there is thunder and lightning, open Rec Swim will be cancelled that day. We will remain open during rain.

Lap Swim

Purchase a Splash Pass membership for year-round access, or pay a drop-in fee for an intense or easy workout. Pool is heated and outdoors. Please bring your own equipment. Splash Pass Membership
