Join us Thursday at the no-touch market in Downtown Oceanside! From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the farmers market now operates in three expanded sections from Ditmar Street to Tremont Street on Pier View Way. Vendors are required to wear masks and gloves. Customers are required to wear a face covering to enter. No pets are allowed. Come shop and support your local farmers and food vendors, including Jessi Foliage and Plants (pictured) located in Section A. Patriotic Celebration Decoration Contest June 26-July 5, Oceanside Safely show your patriotic spirit this Fourth of July by decorating your home! As a result of many large-scale events and gatherings being canceled this year, including the Oceanside Independence Day Parade , local residents Eileen Lohner-Turk and Gail Stewart have created a Patriotic Celebration Decoration Contest for residents of Oceanside, Carlsbad and Vista with cash prizes. Wheel Fun Rentals Just north of the pier, Beach Services vendor Wheel Fun Rentals serves as the perfect starting point for rolling explorations by bike and specialty cycles. Visitors and locals alike can cruise the Strand, Oceanside Harbor and Harbor Village on two, three or four wheels, or rent a stand-up paddleboard. Wheel Fun Rentals is open daily 9 a.m.-sunset year-round except the Fourth of July. Masks are required for rentals.
