On Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, from 1-4 p.m., enjoy 1- to 3-ounce tastings from your favorite Oceanside brewers, wineries, coffee shops and craft beverage makers while you explore Downtown shops and listen to live holiday music. Haunted MarketOct. 27, Sunset Market 

MainStreet Oceanside’s Sunset Market transforms into the Haunted Market for one special night each year. From 5-9 p.m. Thursday, there’ll be trick-or-treating for kids 12 and under at this free, family-friendly Halloween event, plus special scary entertainment and contests at the main stage: a Haunted Market Costume Parade at 6 p.m, an Evil Laugh and Blood Curdling Scream Contest at 8 p.m. and Halloween music all night by DJ Steve O from Rock the House Entertainment. Valle One Year Anniversary Dinner, Dia de los Muertos Oct. 27, Nov. 2, Valle

Celebrate Valle’s first anniversary on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Join Chef Roberto Alcocer for Valle’s One Year Anniversary Dinner featuring a special collaborative menu with Chefs William Eick of Matsu and Davin Waite of Wrench & Rodent and Shootz Fish x Beer. Then next Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., spend Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Valle. Trick or Treat at Tremont Oct. 28, Tremont Collective

Come out Friday for Trick or Treat at Tremont, a family-friendly, all-ages event featuring live music from 6-8 p.m. by The Jackstones + Andrew Machin and trick-or-treating from 5-9 p.m. The following Tremont Collective businesses will be passing out candy: Communal Coffee, Bottlecraft Oceanside, Shootz Fish x Beer, Al Fresko, Brixton, Verve Studio and Stab. “Next to Normal”  Oct. 28-30, The Star Theatre 

Don’t miss the final weekend of “Next to Normal.” This Star Theatre Co. production explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score, and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, “Next to Normal” was also chosen as “one of the year’s ten best shows” by critics around the country, including The Los Angeles Times. Dia de Muertos Community Altar Oct. 29, The Hill Street Country Club 

Día de Muertos is a celebration grounded in healing and a way for communities to honor and preserve their sacred cultural ceremony and knowledge. Starting Nov. 3, Oceanside Roller Skating will be collaborating with O’side Sports Bar & Grill to host weekly Thursday Skate Nights in Downtown Oceanside From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., this is a 21+ event with no cover charge featuring different food vendors weekly, drink specials and music. The Sixth Annual ‘Tis the Season to Shop Local is returning throughout Oceanside from Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26, through Sunday, Dec. 11. The holiday program and event series will again include the Oceanside Holiday Challenge, Merry Makers Fair, Sip & Shop Downtown Oceanside and Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony & Gift Market. Bike the Coast Nov. 5, Oceanside Pier

gO’side Free Downtown Shuttle Program  Through November, Downtown Oceanside

From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m daily, the gO’side Downtown shuttle provides riders with a free, fun and safe way to travel around Downtown Oceanside through November. Through this new electric vehicle shuttle pilot program, five-passenger electric shuttles can be hailed via the Ride Circuit smartphone app or by flagging down a shuttle in an area that is safe for passenger boarding from Oceanside Harbor south to Vista Way in the area west of Interstate 5.
