Labor Day Pier Swim – September 4, Oceanside Pier
The Pier Swim opens with swimmers diving into the surf, circles one mile around the pier and ultimately ends with swimmers riding waves onto the beach and dashing towards a finish line on the sand. It serves as a fundraiser for the Oceanside Swim Club. The mile can be enjoyed by all from ages 12 and up. Event is free, from 7-11:30am. FIND OUT MORE
U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championship – September 6-10, Oceanside Pier
The best of the best show up to battle for the very first U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championship and a piece of the first prize money pool in adaptive surfing’s short history. The main goal for the Stoke for Life Foundation is to bring awareness to the rehabilitative benefits of adaptive water sports through clinics and education. Jackie Venson Live – September 7, The Brooks Theater
A rare performer is coming to town! Jackie Venson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter known far and wide for her beautifully complex music and blazing guitar skills. Jackie Venson has been touring music from her albums, “Love Transcends” and “Evolution of Joy.” The R&B/Soul artist will be performing live at The Brooks Theater at 7pm. Tickets range from $25-$40. Music For The People – September 8, Tremont Collective
This year, Solis Team Real Estate is raising funds for an amazing cause. ‘Got Your Back, San Diego’ is located right here in Oceanside. GYBSD is a weekend food assistance program for children attending San Diego County schools, whose main source of nutrition is cafeteria food Monday through Friday but, apart from school, lack a reliable food source on Saturday and Sunday. As a result, many of these children must endure entire weekends with little to nothing to eat. This event is open to the public and takes place from 5-9pm. FIND OUT MORE
Moonlight Paddle September 9, Oceanside Harbor
The City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Division is offering an exciting program called “Moonlight Paddle,” where guests will get the chance to enjoy the beauty and romance of Oceanside’s Harbor under the moonlight! A short informational skills session will take place at the Oceanside Outdoor Aquatic Recreation Building (across from the Small Fishing Pier at the Oceanside Harbor) prior to launching the Kayaks.
