THE WOMAN’S CLUB OF VISTA GFWC DONATION DAY
On Wednesday, May 11, a total of $35,000 was donated by the club to Non-Profit Organizations for at the Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista, representatives from 26 non-profits attended a luncheon in which each one was given a few minutes to describe their outstanding contributions to the community and to receive their respective checks.

Those attending were from Alta Vista Botanical Gardens and Children’s Garden; The Alzheimer’s Association, Angel Faces, The Angel’s Depot, Assistance League of North Coast, Bread of Life Rescue Mission, The Brother Benno Foundation, Canine Companions for Independence, Casa de Amparo, The City of Vista Fire Department, Garden of Innocence, Gently Hugged, HMLA-369 Family Readiness, Interfaith Community Services, Meals with Love, Miss Pride of Vista Pageants, New Haven, North County Lifeline, Operation HOPE-Vista, Pride of Vista Lions Club, Rancho Bernardo Historical Society, Rancho Buena Vista Adobe, Civitan (Route 78 Civitan), San Diego Sheriff’s Department, Upward Dog Rescue, and the Women’s Resource Center.
Each organization stated how the funds received will be used. At one point during the program ladies in the audience were seen wiping tears as they listened to how each made an impact on members of our communities.
The Woman’s Club of Vista meets at 10:30AM the second Wednesday of the month at the Shadowridge Golf Club for a luncheon and a speaker. Cost is $18 and all are welcome!
