San Marcos, CA -Our York House  -Our Wounded Warrior Homes York location is currently in need of major repairs and upgrades. These repairs will need to be complete before we can provide a home for our veteran community. Our homes are a large part of our organization and without out them the ability to service our veteran community is hindered. If you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate your contribution.

GreatNonprofits is a 501(c) registered non-profit organization where donors, volunteers and clients leave reviews of their experiences with charitable organizations. These reviews help people learn about our work. Please take a couple of minutes and review us.

Giving Tuesday is an annual global day of generosity that will take place on November 29, 2022. Giving Tuesday inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Introducing our new staff members

Janette Cordoza ~ Operations Officer

The military has been my whole life.  I have filled the shoes as a daughter, sister,  wife, and currently a mother.  I have volunteered many years at various non-profits.  In my off time I am a business instructor at a local college.  I earned my Bachelor of Science Technical Management Logistics and Master’s of Business Administration Aviation concentration in Accounting from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.  Fun fact I competed in the 2021 Rebelle Rally, a two person team consisting of all women, seven days of navigating through the desert with just a map and compass.

Jim Putnam ~ Development Officer

In 2015, Jim retired from the military following twenty years of military service between the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Upon retirement, Jim attended SUNY Canton in Canton, NY earning a Bachelors degree in management and then a MBA from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. Most recently Jim served as the Recreation Director for the municipality of Canton in Upstate New York. Jim’s passion is giving back to Veterans and helping Warriors transition. Jim lives in El Cajon with his wife Alana and their two dogs Jaeger and Fergus

Lori Borne ~ Executive Assistant

Working for non-profit organizations is a life long passion for me. I hope my experience will benefit those I work with and I look forward to learning from this amazing team. As a daughter and wife of a veteran, an aunt to several enlisted, and friend to veterans from all branches, I am excited to contribute to such a wonderful organization. In my spare time you can find me scuba diving, hiking or curled up in a reading corner.
