Mayor Esther Sanchez and stained glass artist Don Myers recently placed the final two pieces of the Ocean Glass Mosaic Mural. Our thanks to all who helped create the 12-by-16-foot mural by assembling its six panels or by sponsoring a sea animal or plant. Now we are seeking the community’s involvement once again in naming the mural, which represents a community of local sea life as it resides below the surface of the Pacific Ocean just off our beaches. The winner of the contest will receive a $100 gift card to the Downtown restaurant of your choice. To enter, follow @mainstreetoceanside and comment with one or more names for the mural by April 1. The selected mural name — and the winner — will be announced at the installation of the mural.
